ThornSound Recordings is an independent music label based in Seattle, Washington. We work with artists who have something to say — and the craft to say it well.
Our roster spans alt-country and indie rock to punk and Americana, united less by genre than by conviction. From Kim Virant’s weathered, soulful songwriting to the femme-forward grit of Golden West, the protest fury of Liberty Strikes, and the sharp indie rock of Mettle Lark and Strong Suit. We showcase artists who make music that matters to them, and trust that it’ll matter to listeners too.
ThornSound Recordings was launched in 2020 to support artists in the Seattle area with the concept that musicians create their best work without the common restraints of time and budget.
