Kim Virant drops a stunning cover of the Rolling Stones classic.

It’s no secret that Kim (and this whole band, FWIW) is a Stones fanatic. Going back to her days in Lazy Susan, you may have caught her belting out renditions of any number of cuts from the lads. Loving Cup is a consistent fan fave in Kim’s solo career.

Kim shares the vocals on the track with a special guest, Seattle’s twang-master Steve Aliment, echoing Kim’s guest appearance on Steve’s 2021 release “We Can Hold Out”. Also featured is Ty Bailie (Maren Morris, Katy Perry, Mitsky) completely shredding the piano. Loving Cup is featured on the forthcoming album “Orion’s Belt”, with a release date of 8/14/2026.

Once again, the supporting band is Gary Westlake demonstrating his slide guitar mastery,with Jeff Rouse and Chris Friel shoring up the bass and drums respectively. Finally, we have producer Max Rose on saxophone together with frequent collaborator Ric Pentilla on trumpet, aka The Diads of Power & Glory.
