About Seattle's Golden West. Golden West are the premiere Dirty Sexy Americana duo in the great Pacific Northwest. Featuring the powerhouse twang of Kim Virant paired with the searing guitar goddess that is Kathy Moore. Golden West showcases a grittier, blues-inflected vein in their songwriting collaboration. Both women are well known fixtures in the Seattle music scene. While this includes an established history of collaboration with each other, Kim and Kathy formed Golden West to be something greater than one more project for each. They seek a platform to promote not just their own talents, but to promote and support their fellow women in the Seattle scene. They are frequently backed live by Rebecca Young on bass, and Aimee Zoe or Faustine Hudson on drums. Also, multi-instrumentalist Emily Harris and Patrick Porter adding color on pedal-steel guitar.
